TAM SA buys Pantanal Linhas Areas

TAM buys Pantanal for R$ 13 million (about £4.3 millions)
TAM SA announced on Monday, 21st December that has agreed to buy the small Pantanal Linhas Areas. To be completed the operation must be approved by the National Agency of Civil Aviation.
TAM SA is continually expanding its business. Not only has become the largest airway company in the country as is strongly competing with other international airlines. For the past months, I have had the opportunity to see ads of the company in many British newspapers. It is very gratifying to see a Brazilian company growing as TAM is. Congratulations!

Brazilians are mad with the Robin Williams’ comment about the victory to host the 2016 Olympics. During the David Letterman show the actor said that Rio de Janeiro "would have sent 50 strippers and a pound of powder [cocaine] for the Olympic committee." To date there has been no word of apology from the actor. However it was a joke or not, why on earth an enshrined actor as he is, made such a dumb comment? In the words of Eduardo Paes, mayor of Rio, he is jealous.

'Brazil! My Brazilian Brazil.' Land of diversity, celebration, joy, football and samba. Brazil is currently the 9th largest economy. It is a Federative Republic and its current president is Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, or Lula. It has more than 190 million inhabitants and products with higher exports are beef (the world's biggest export), chicken, coffee, sugar, orange, dairies, iron by Vale do Rio Doce and steel.

Brazil is an example to the world in the synchronism of races, there are over 500 ethnic groups living in harmony without any conflict, whether religious or economic. Despite the short time as a nation, we can teach the world this affair, which is peace between peoples. We are a continental nation, the fourth of the world in area continues, but with a unit, the language.

Only those who have been in this country can explain the sensation felt in such a place, the enjoyment of its food and the celebrations with the locals, but also has known what are hunger, corruption and violence, which everyday seems to increase. We say that is not possible to have everything, and Brazil is an example.

The purpose of this blog is to explore what is happening in the country and that somehow has to do with local politics, which can be issues relate with the government, violence, economy, politicians and so on. The objective is to show Brazil through a Brazilian eye.
